Trevor Richards lives and works in Fremantle, Western Australia. His practice encompasses painting, sculpture, video, photography and installation. He is widely recognised for his formally structured, minimalist approach to painting that is informed by his sustained engagement with a limited range of colours and an admiration for the commonplace. In the past decade he has shown work extensively in Europe. In recent exhibitions he has been looking at colour, pattern and its relationship to architecture.
